Convocation 2017 Invitation
The 25th Convocation of Manipal University, Manipal is scheduled on November 18, 19 and 25, 2017. Given below are certain important guidelines for students to follow for smooth conduct of the Convocation. Students are requested to read them carefully and adhere to the instructions.

Please note that online registration for the eligible students of Manipal University Bangalore campus (excepting School of Regenerative Medicine (SORM) and Allied Health Courses at MHB) will not be available for this Convocation. Hence, such eligible students can download the application form available in the University website and send it to the Registrar, Evaluation, Manipal University, Manipal.

  • Eligible students who would like to receive their degree at the Convocation, shall submit their application through online only. Offline applications will not be accepted.
  • Last date for Registration : 4th November 2017
  • All fields in the registration form are mandatory.
  • Graduates can select any date as per their convenience and as per availability of seats.
  • If it exceeds 1200 graduates on any particular day, Website will not allow you to register on that day. In this case, select the next available day to take the degree in person at the convocation.
  • Once the graduates confirms the date of his/her participation at the convocation,the date can be changed .
  • Students who are finishing their courses (including internship) on or before 31st October 2017, will be eligible to receive the degree at this Convocation.
  • Graduates who have already collected their degree certificates in absentia are not eligible to receive the degree at this Convocation.
  • Three dinner coupons (1 + 2 parents)) will be provided to the awardees without any charge. Additional coupons, if required, will be provided against payment of Rs.500/- each.Payments should be made only through online . Coupons should be collected when receiving the gowns from the respective institutions.

Visa for Parents(Travels from ouside of the India)

Students who require a letter signed by the college for their parents to obtain visa to attend the Convocation ceremony shall complete the Form for Visa which is available in the Convocation website.
The letter will be provided to only those students who have graduated and are eligible to receive the degree at this Convocation. Filled up applications have to be sent to Heads of their respective colleges.

Live Webcast

Live webcast of the ceremony will also be arranged on the University website on the day of Convocation.

Instructions for Awardees


Students are hereby advised to report one day prior to the convocation or on the day of the Convocation to complete formalities at the institutional level.
On the day of the Convocation, the awardees must collect their ceremonial gown by showing their confirmed registration email at the respective counters made available at the KMC Greens as mentioned below.

  • Awardees shall assemble at the venue by 3.30 pm on the day of the convocation and meet their respective institution coordinators to confirm their participation.
  • Convocation procession will start at 4.30 pm.
  • All awardees including Ph.Dā€™s / Gold Medalists / Super- Specialty awardees are to be seated before start of the procession.
  • Seating plan will be displayed at the venue. Stickers having details of awardees names and registration numbers will be pasted on the designated chairs.
  • While awarding the degrees, awardees should line up in the proper order to ensure minimum loss of time.
  • Dinner will start soon after the function.
  • If you are unable to attend the Convocation after registration process, kindly send a mail to institution concerned and obtain the confirmation of the cancellation.

Parents & Guests

Parents and guests are requested to be seated at the Convocation Auditorium 30 minutes before the commencement of the Convocation ceremony at 4.30 pm. at the designated area.
